Prosthesis

Total prosthesis (removable):

They are devices that are removed at night. The purpose is to replace the missing teeth in an edentulous patient, allowing the recovery of dentofacial esthetics and important functions such as chewing, swallowing and phonation. These prostheses are made of porcelain and/or flexible acrylic. The patient who uses a total prosthesis has a better nutrition.

Partial prosthesis (removable):

They are removable replacement teeth used in patients who have lost one or more, but not all, teeth. They are designed to artificially replace the gap created by some missing teeth. They are anchored by means of retainers to remaining teeth to replace some pieces and not the entire arch.
